I have a question about the standards:
For a gas, 1 atm
For aqueous solution 1 M
Why is the standard temp 25 C (298K)? Why not O C or 100 C.
Why did they choose this temp?
Standard heat of reaction?
basically 25 C is room temperature and most research before refrigeration has been operating at this temperature. So its pratical and historical.
1 Atm is regular presure anywhere on earth.
