Changing from vertex form to standard form (Algebra) please help?

vertex form is a(x - h)^2 + k

Standard from is y= ax^2 + bx + c

if my equations are

1.) f(x)= -2(x - 1)^2 + 10

2.) f(x)= 2x^2 - 8

(how do i put this in standard form?)

Changing from vertex form to standard form (Algebra) please help?
f(x)= -2(x - 1)^2 + 10

y = -2(x - 1)^2 + 10

y = -2(x^2 - 2 x + 1) + 10

y = -2 x^2 + 4x - 2 + 10

y = -2 x^2 + 4x + 8

f(x)= 2x^2 - 8

y = 2x^2 + 0x - 8
Reply:expand and group like terms.

I'll do the first one

-2(x-1)^2 + 10

=(-2x - 1)^2 + 10

=(-2x-1)(-2x-1) + 10

= 4x^2 +2x +2x +1 +10

= 4x^2 +4x + 11
