Linear functions? standard form? help i 4got?

we were reviewing ovr linear functions and i forgot how to convert my slope intercept to standard but i know the formula Ax+By=C but i just dont get it im getting confused over my notes like it would help if you can tell me how to convert it to standard form or help me solve one of these problems so i can be sure to look into it and study it since i think i can get it if i have an example done like for this problem

(1,1) m=1/4

and i got for slope form y=1/4x+3/4

but now im stuck since i 4got how to turn into standard.........

Linear functions? standard form? help i 4got?
first, bring the x term over the left hand side

-1/4x + y = 3/4

then multiply through by the common denominator (in this case, it's 4). you get:

-x + 4y = 3

done
Reply:the slope is (1/4)

general form is:

1/4(x-(-3))=(y-0)

this link shows the graph of the eqation: download the image

Reply:slope intercept form is: y=mx+b then to get standard you subtract mx from both sides, -mx+y=b thats how to get the standard from from the slope int. form.

y=1/4x+3/4 : -1/4x+y=3/4
Reply:Hi,

y=1/4x+3/4 : -1/4x+y=3/4

Hope it helps!
