AP Chemistry or AP Physics C?

I'm an IB junior right now and we're registering for our senior classes soon. I have pretty much tweaked everything out for my IB requirements leaving one open class which i cannot decide between AP Chemistry or AP Physics C.

I'm taking IB standard level physics/ AP physics B right now and i have an A on an adjusted scale. I'm also taking Calculus AB right now so i'll be taking BC next year along with IB higher level math so there are no worries as to my math problem solving skills.

I REALLY REALLY like physics (and math), but seeing that i already have a physics credit, should i take chem instead? also, i took dinky IB chem for only a semester my sophomore year that means if i don't take chem next year, i'll be away from it for two years when entering college. But the thing is, i want to major in possibly mechanical or aeronautical engineering so physics C WOULD be the better choice..

I'm so confused!

AP Chemistry or AP Physics C?
You know, I'd probably go Chem. AP Chem crosses over some with AP Physics B and coming into college more than two years out of Chem, might make for a very difficult General Chem requirement.
Reply:I am a Senior not in IB and currently taking Chem AP and Physics B AP. Physics and Chemistry do overlap in some areas but since it's Physics C instead of B, there won't be much similarity. I would suggest taking AP Physics to show your dedication to colleges on how much you want to prepare for a mechanical or aeronautical engineering major. You are willing to take a step further and challenge yourself in a higher level physics course. Don't worry about being away from Chem for two years; Chem isn't as difficult as Physics ;) Maybe I'm biased because I %26lt;3 Physics. :)
Reply:Take the physics, as it has a broader application to all of the sciences. If you look at any collegiate-level science curriculum, regardless of the major, it will requires physics. Very few require chemistry.
