Right now i am learning c.what next?

right now i am learning c.i am in 10 standard can somebody please help me to take a decision that what next should i learn


i want to make ,my carrer in computers .please help!!!!!!

I would next pick up a good object-oriented language next. If you choose C# or Java the syntax will be similar to what you already know.
Reply:Good quesiton. To be honest, if you are ready for OOP and strongly typed languages II would go straight to C#. The advantages of going to next C# instead of C++:





-C# will keep you away from multiple inheritance


-C# (actually, the .NET Framework) has the garbage collector which will dispose of objects for you.


-C# is more type safe because in C++ you can still use ANSI C methods which aren't type safe (printf, macros)


-C# will prepare you for other modern OOP languages


-C# (to me) was easier to learn than C++


-C++ .NET will also help keep you away from the downfalls of regular ol' C++ but there isn't much books or documentation on the this version. That's fine if you already know C++ but I had some issues in which I had to rewrite some things that works fine in other .NET languages.





This is all squarely your decision. Check out all answers given and go with what you are comfortable with.
Reply:You should move onto Java and PHP and then start learning SQL, they are a good mix and there are plenty of jobs available in those areas.

Keep learning c until you can make it do handstands then there will always be work for you.
Reply:Finish up with C++, then C#. It wouldn't hurt to become involved with Microsoft Visual Studio.net 2005. There, with 1 IDE you can have Java, C++, C# and VisualBasic. The express editions are powerhouses, and they are free, as is SQL server express.
