I have to list a numer of different items and I am trying to figure out what the standard is for listing sections, sub-sections, et cetera. I am not even sure what the proper name is for this; I am guessing it is categorization, rules of order, lists, etc. Thanks for any help you can provide!
What is the standard for putting items in order such as:ABC 1 2 3 a b c???
numbers always come first
capitalization does not make a difference
a a a comes before aaa (spaces bump a word up in the list, "book worm" comes before "bookworm")
